BUREX ABC 90 powder can be used on fires of the hydrocarbon compounds
like plastic. It is not advised to use the BUREX powder on metallic
fires because of the hydrogen gas that reveals because of the reaction
between BUREX powder and metal. The harmony between the BUREX ABC 90 and
foam extinguishers is increased after many experiments.
PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
MAIN COMPOUND : Monoamoniumphosphate (%90±3)
APPEARANCE : Is a fluid, chrome yellow colored an effective
extinguishing powder with a structure that has a spreading in air
property and contains water pushing materials.
MASS DENSITY (g/ml): 0,91
SURFACE AREA (cm2/gr): 3000±250
PH VALUE :4,5
LUMPNESS : Some lump can be seen on a fine sieve of 425µm
MOISTURE GATHERING PROPERTY : MAX %0,25
PARTICLE DISTRIBUTION (MICRON) : The amount remaining on the 40 µm fine
sieve is %45±%8 ; the amount remaining on the 63µm fine sieve is %40±%8;
the amount remaining on the 125µm fine sieve is %5±%5
RESISTANCE TO TEMPERATURE: No chemical changes between -60º C and +90ºC.
WATER PUSHING : ABC 90 is not effected from water and vapor. Can be
saved without effecting by temperature and moisture difference. It
contains silicon as a water pushing material.
STORING PROPERTY :
A- Packing : Can be saved in its original package for 5 years.
B- Can be saved without losing its properties on fire extinguishers and
extinguishing foundations.
TRANSPORTING PROPERTY :
BUREX ABC 90 does not lose its properties while passing through hose
pipes, pipes and etc. under pressure.
PRESSURE AND GAS PRESSURE PROPERTY :
BUREX ABC 90 is not effected by surrounding pressure. Nitrogen and
carbon dioxide can be used as spraying gas.
POWDER CLOUD PRODUCING PROPERTY :
When the device using BUREX ABC 90 runs, a cloud forms in air. This
cloud prevents the fire gets wider and has a high effect on it.
RESISTANCE TO VIBRATION
BUREX ABC 90 powder has a resistant power to vibration, movement and
crash. Because of this, this kind of powders can be used in transporters,
cars, ships and etc.
EXTINGUISHING EFFECT
It forms with the anticatalitic and suffocating effect on type A fires
and anticatalitic effect which is the result of breaking the radical
chain in the flame on type B and C fires.
CORROSIPHE EFFECT
It has no effect on dry surfaces on metals and alloys. It is adviced to
clean the metals after extinguishing because of the salt structure.
CORROSING EFFECT
BUREX ABC 90 has no corrosing effect like sand. It corrupts the oil
surface when it remains on the surface. So it is adviced to clean the
surface after usage.
PHYSIOLOGICAL EFFECT
BUREX ABC 90 powder has no toxic effects under normal transporting
conditions. In addition to that it is adviced to make the refilling
station airy. It causes irritation on eyes and noise mucous membrane. It
is not a serious state.
PACKING
Can be saved for 5 years in its original 25 and 50 kg. packets.
STORING
- Do not make it contact with air
- Do not make it contact with moisture
- Prevent it from sudden temperature and moist difference
- Do not save under heavy materials.
- Do not mix different type of powders.
- Transport it carefully. Be careful about not tearing the cover.
Transfer the powder in the torn packets to a pot without contacting air.
- Be sure that the pot that will contain the powder is dry and clean. Do
clear the remaining powders before refilling the new powder in.
- Be careful that the pushing gases are pure and purified from water and
other materials that will corrose the pot.. |
